Ok,. I try all those user maps in the forum, Wrack.exe mapname.map and I get the message on the subject.
Needless to say, I have managed to play them by loading them in the editor and clicking on play the map.
But what is this issue when trying to run them directly?

Hm, the map format hasn't changed at all, so things should work fine. Make sure you're opening the .map file directly with Wrack and not the .zip it comes in or something like that.

Yep, it's not from inside the zip.
I got this first with preorder update 1 and now with update 2 too.
    It is indeed strange.

So, if you physically drag and drop the .map file onto Wrack.exe, this happens?

Oh, I think I know what I am doing different. Though it could be the same. I am using total commander, with ctrl + enter I choose Wrack and then the map name, like I am writing in command line Wrack mapname.map. I just remember that there where rare occasions where total commander screwed with other programs when I was using the command line while things worked from windows exporer or shell, I don't know why. Just a guess though..

Currently I am on a journey with just my crappy old netbook so I can't try. (hmm,. I am wondering how wrack runs in this one though

Ok, I realized that drag and drop works.
But no wrack.exe mymap.map, not even outside of total commander (maybe that's not the way to do it).
I still haven't tried Wrack in my old netbook, cause it needs all these directx dlls missing. I will have to download directx redistributable or something later. But now I am back on my main desktop for more Wracking
